One L

Hey everyone,

This will now be my new blog. I have decided to create a separate blog because unlike my xanga, this blog will hopefully actually have a point. I hope this blog can unite first year college grads who are in a similar position. The inspiration for this blog came from my re-reading the book One L, written by Scott Turow and his highlighting of his first year at Harvard Law School. I believe if anyone is honestly thinking about Law School than you must check out One L. It provides a great amount of insight that I just don't have access to. But, yes currently as some of you know I'm not really putting my degree to any real use. I believe I'm not the only first year grad whose at this predicament and trust it's not by choice. I have applied to jobs that pertained to protecting the environment, being a teacher, or working for the state department. The one thing my job hunting experience has taught me is to learn how to laugh. You have to learn to laugh, because if you don't then all the rejection letters will certainly land you in an asylum. But, all is not lost for me because I am doing something positive and not just being a burden on society. I'm currently under going the process of being a substitute teacher and applying to both graduate and law school. But, to move to the main point of this blog.. I want this to be fully interactive. I want to know if you're also a recent grad what are you up to? Do you have any experiences or feelings you'd like to share with the rest of us? But, please do keep this blog interactive. That's really all for this first blog.

How could u forget to mention I am the one who recommend the book! I chose to stay an extra year and try to get another degree. You should have done the same!
